Granada Variety:

Shipping Season: August 1 to September 5

Unit Sizes: 48, 44, 36, 34, 32, 30 in 2 layer tray paks.

3 layer 72 count.

The Granada variety is full to dark red inside and outside in color with low acid and high sugar (sweet). The Granada has a tendency to have light russetting which is characteristic of the variety.

Foothill Variety:

Shipping Season: August 1 to September 15

Unit Sizes: 48, 44, 36, 34, 32, 30, 26, 24 in 2 layer tray paks

3 layer 72 count

The Foothill variety is a light-dark red in color, inside and out, with low acid and very high sugar (sweet). This variety tends to be larger than the Granada. It should be noted that when the Foothill becomes tree ripe at full maturity there will be a noticeable maturity ring around the crown of the fruit which turns brown with time. This maturity ring indicates the sweetest pomegranate, ready to be eaten.
